Description
R-410A is a near-azeotropic HFC-blend refrigerant (R-32/R-125) widely used in residential and light commercial air conditioning systems manufactured from the mid-1990s through the early 2020s. It carries a global warming potential (GWP) of 2,088 and is subject to phase-down under the U.S. AIM Act and equivalent regional HFC regulations. As of January 1, 2025, new residential HVAC equipment using R-410A is prohibited in the United States. This product is intended for servicing existing R-410A systems only. This 25 lb cylinder is packaged for professional HVAC technician use.
R-410A is for use only in systems specifically designed for R-410A — it is not compatible with R-22, R-32, or R-454B equipment. As a near-azeotropic blend, it can be charged as vapor or liquid per equipment manufacturer specifications without significant fractionation risk. R-410A operates at higher pressures than R-22; service equipment must be rated for R-410A operating pressures.
R-410A is classified as non-flammable (A1 safety class). Refrigerant recovery is required — venting is prohibited under applicable environmental regulations. The 25 lb cylinder includes a standard 5/16″ service port fitting compatible with professional R-410A service equipment. Buyers are responsible for confirming local regulatory status before purchase.
